Long Overdue Updates

Sorry it's been so long, with these beautiful days that we've been having I try and make sure that we take advantage of it before it's gone again.

Last weekend was pretty crazy for us. Colin's Dad & Diane came to visit along with Colin's Baba & Gido, Colin's grandparents have never had the opportunity to meet Robbie before so it was a big deal! They brought Robbie a little present which he hasn't put down to date (Fisher Price school bus with a couple "Little People") we had a wonderful morning/afternoon with them, where we played in the back yard, had an amazing BBQ (thanks to my wonderful hubby) and had plenty of play time! Gido kept on commenting on how bright and happy he is. Just after 1pm Robbie crashed... HARD. He was completely tuckered out from all they playing so we put him to bed and our guests went home.

In the afternoon right after Robbie woke up, we scooped him up and plopped him into the car and we were off to Brad & Sharon's to celebrate both Cousin Sydney and Cousin Carson's birthday! We got to see the whole gang and had a wonderful time, Robbie and Kailey spent most of their time in the back yard playing in the sand box/play ground. They got lots of sun and had tones of fun! After we had cake the big kids pulled out the sprinkler and started running through it... of course Robbie wanted to be where all the action is, so I took his shirt off and let him play with the big kids. Every time the kids screamed he got all excited and would yell with excitement too... but as soon as that cold water hit him he was singing a different tune. It was so funny, as soon as the water was off of him he wanted to go back out to the sprinkler with the big kids but as soon as the water hit him again he was running to me crying. After we veto'd his desire to take his wet body and run through the sand box he through a major temper tantrum - that's our cue to go home! He was sad to say bye to everyone but he was just exhausted from the days events.

On Thursday I met Robbie's new Day Home lady - April. She's really nice and has a wonderful home that's totally dedicated for kids, her whole living room has nothing but children's toys and she has a massively large fenced back yard with a play ground. She said she'll be quite happy to take him two times a week if I need it as my belly gets bigger. It looks really promising, the best part is that she lives in the same neighbourhood as us, it should be about a 3-5 minute walk!!!


I've also booked Robbie in for swimming lessons, I feel like he's lacking in the social interaction department so this should be really good for him. He's always splashing and making a mess in the bathtub, hopefully he can keep his splashes in the pool (yeah right!)


He's started saying "what's this?" which caught me off guard at first. He also started calling for mommy when we wakes up from his sleeps... I love it!

Miss Kailey's turning into quite the little lady!
