Girl Guides

I just HAVE to blog about this little story.

This afternoon one of my co-workers (a good friend) came by to visit us. Robbie was a little restless and kept on asking for his hat and coat... so we suited up and went out for a walk. Just as we were stepping out the door a swarm of little girls came down our walk way with boxes of girl guide cookies, I quickly turned around to buy a box... okay, two boxes. After we got the boxes we started to go for our walk - it just so happened that the girls were walking in the same direction we were. The girls were gaulking and talking to Robbie as we walked down the drive way. Robbie turned to one of the girls, with a smile on his face he grabbed her hand and walked with her. It was SO adorable! He was heart broken when we had to say bye-bye and shed some tears while he blew her/them a kiss good-bye.

So we headed to the park for some play time, he can officially go down the slide all by himself. He's really good at climbing up the steps but gets a little clumsy some times, so I still need to be right behind him for those moments.

Just as we were leaving the park the girls came running to us! They swarmed Robbie again and he was in heaven! They took him up the slide a couple of times and were playing with his toy truck, he had a blast! It was nice to just sit back and have a chat with Julia (the co-worker) while the Girl Guides entertained him.

What a fun night!!
